The theme for this term is Dragons and we have read and based our learning activities on the books   Deri Dan y Daliwr Dreigiau, Ma’r Ddraig Na’n Boen and Alun yr Arth a’r Ddraig Fach Goch. Here are our poems in reply to the questions ‘What is there in the Dragon’s Nest?’ The pupils were encouraged to use adjectives and similes in their work.
To celebrate and remember the life and work of the poet T Llew Jones, the pupils have learnt a poem - The Snail from memory before creating art work using chalk that prompted them to draw a spiral pattern like the shell.
This is the gallery that focuses on the square shape as there is a patchwork of squares inside the This Dragon is a Pain story book! The pupils have imitated the style of Piet Mondrian.
As an aspect of improving the standard of writing of extended writing amongst the pupils - we are introducing vocabulary/adjectives/similes that will be used in the final written composition.  This vocabulary describes the Dragon’s Policewoman.
Deio Ditectif is searching for pupils who push the bar or aim for the stars when they face tasks.  This is part of the Assessment For Learning theory   - Shirley Clark. The pupil will wear Deio’s hat during that day and will be awarded a certificate to take home.
Here is the meditation zone in the class to which the pupils are encouraged to go to when they feel happy or sad or when they require a couple of minutes to ponder or pray.
